Cannot submit zero dollar orders.

If your customers are seeing this, it is for one of 2 reasons:

  1. One of your items is free, and the priced modifier to select the size/style is not required.
  2. They are trying to use a reward for a free item, but they're checking out with ONLY the free item in their cart.

Make sure they have a required modifier group with priced mods to add a price:

Rewards

  • When creating a reward, you can add a description like "Free __ with a valid purchase". This will help nudge customers to add another item to their cart & avoid this error message before they get to the Summary & Pay screen.
  • Add a "minimum order amount" when creating your reward. This is optional, but if you make the minimum amount $1 it will still allow guests to add something small/cheap to their order (like a drink or side).
